Just as any other item that you are considering to purchase, making sure that you know what you are getting is very important to you and your wallet. When it comes to buying a new flat iron, you will want to know the quality that you are paying for, especially when you are thinking of investing in a high end hair styling flat iron.

Are you zeroing on Sedu?

Think again!

Sedu is one of those products that is pushed by advertising popularity, but lacks in the true technological and professional productivity.

Sedu hair styling tools are owned by the Folica Industry and excessively pushed in the hair tool community as if there could be no better than their flat iron tool. Compared to the hype created by advertisements, Sedu has an issue in living up to the expectations that they have been constantly portraying.

Let us first take a look at Sedu Flat Irons and Solia Flat Irons for quality comparisons. With Solia and Sedu floating at an almost equal level, the differences actually lays in the Dynamic Alignment System the Solia Flat Iron features and the difference in price. The Dynamic Alignment System of the Solia is self adjusting and helps to provide the perfect hair and plate contacts. The Sedu does not have these types of advanced technological features but leads to hot spots directly due to the lacking of proper technological enhancements. Hair with hot spots caused by the Sedu hair tool products or any other hair tool product for that matter will always do extensive damage over prolonged usage.

Sedu flat irons have also been slighting customers upon the overall performance of truly being able to smooth hair or just to keep it smooth for the expected amount of time that several other top named flat irons were consistently able to produce. The Sedu flat iron has a good amount of complaints when it comes to drying out their heads of hair, according to some customers using Sedu hair styling tools on various review sites.

Apart from poor reviews, some complaints about the over all efficiency has also been questioned. Many customers claim to have had bad pieces delivered after payments. When you are looking for a good flat iron and investing your hard earned money, you would definitely want the product to last you several years. However, due to poor quality standards and weak technological inputs, many cheap flat irons spend more on advertising than ensuring better goods.

So its best to check out the real customer reviews and do a proper research before investing in a new flat iron. Knowing what you are buying can not always be based on how popular a product may seem to be, there is also the overall public opinion. Just as any other product, no company should escape the overall public judgments through saturation of advertising only. In this case, comparing a brand name of Sedu, advertised well by a known company is not always as asset or holds up to company's claims.

I purchased Sedu flat iron based on the hype and was throughly dissapointed with both the product and customer service I received from Folica. After reading your article I have since learned that Folica owns both Sedu and Solia brands. They use a lot of deceptive advertsing to make consumers think that they have the most top rated Flat Iron (how many of the Sedu reviews that are negative have been published on Folica the owner of the brand. They also mention Sedu was featured in Allure magazine but when I contacted Allure they said Sedu has never been a featured item in there magazine. I have come to discover that Folica/Sedu placed a small paid ad in the back of one issue of the magazine. This must be the Folica/Sedu way of justifying "featured in Allure magazine" a total sham on the consumer. Ask Sedu or Folica to send a copy of the featured article and they won't return your call. Also Folica/Sedu states that "Sedu is used by top Stylists" but never mentions a single session hairstylist who uses a Sedu Flat Iron... another deceptive sham against the consumer. Folica/Sedu has not been truthful to consumers and the quality of the product itself is questionable. For this reason I am writing this as a "buyer be beware" to anyone considering buying a Sedu or Solia heat stylig tool.
